The Thrills – Teenager

The Thrills are an Irish indie pop rock band. “Teenager” is their third full length release and features the same piano-based acoustic pop they have been known for with their last two releases. Not much has changed with their music making style since their first release, “So Much For The City”, but the new songs off “Teenager” do offer deeper and more complex songwriting and an all-around easier listening experience. The Thrills will undoubtedly continue to impress mainly because they really do sound like no one else out there and “Teenager” has proven to be one of the most original releases of the year.

Stars – In Our Bedroom After The War

Stars is a slightly electric indie pop rock band from Toronto, Canada. “In Our Bedroom After The War” is Stars’ fourth studio album and was released digitally only four days after its completion. This CD, along with their other releases, captures the beautifully soft female and male vocal combination Stars have been know for along with upbeat and soft-played indie rock. Although “In Our Bedroom After The War” doesn’t seem to be an earth-shattering release for the modern music world it is definitely a welcome addition to the collection of catchy and addictive releases by their contemporaries.
