Matt Pond PA – If You Want Blood - EP

Matt Pond PA is an indie rock band formed in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania by singer/songwriter Matt Pond; Matt Pond is the only remaining original member. “If You Want Blood – EP” is the latest release from the band since the full length “Several Arrows Later” released in October 2005. This EP doesn’t fail to impress, it captures the wide arrange of styles Matt Pond PA is capable of creating. There’s the fast paced guitar rock along with the slowed down acoustic and the mild-temperance that falls between, not to mention the use of strings that is the usual underlying factor in Pond’s songs. Matt Pond PA has a very thoughtful and delicate music style that seems to satisfy no matter what mood you may be in.

Willy Mason – If The Ocean Gets Rough

Willy Mason is an American folk-style singer-songwriter. Willy Mason has one of the most surprisingly deep and original singing voices that perfectly accompanies his infectious acoustic-based music. “If The Ocean Gets Rough” is Mason’s second full length release and is full of easy going folk music that could make any listener an instant fan. Mason seems to be such a well formed musician with this release, the singing and instrumental back-up are as matured as music seems to get, so it’s pretty surprising that he’s only 22.

The National Lights – The Dead Will Walk, Dear

The National Lights is the primary song-writing project of Jacob Thomas Bernsnal. The National Lights combine traditional American folk stylings - acoustic guitars, banjos, mandolins and lap-steel guitars - with beautifully hushed harmonies. “The Dead Will Walk, Dear” is the first release from The National Lights and shows how hauntingly entrancing simple melodies and restrained vocals can be.
