Their music hints at obvious influences from the past and present, but their strong song writing remains so unique that no comparisons need to be drawn. Pershing is accessible, unpredictable, and extremely catchy, while still requiring slight acquired taste. This album deserves to be inducted into the list of the all-time greatest albums recorded in homes within the Springfield, Missouri area, no doubt about it.
